My name is Lalita King, I'm a graduate of Danville High School class of 1991. I've lived in Danville for the first 32 years of my life then I moved to Rantoul, IL for 7 years. I returned to Danville in 2014, I began working for “Help at Home” home healthcare agency. During those years my mom became ill, and I became her caregiver. While caring for my mom I knew I had a special gift in this area. Not only did I become my mom's caregiver I took on other clients, all of whom I held near and dear to my heart. It was then that I knew something bigger was awaiting me.

I felt compassion and the need to help and serve others. It didn't stop there; I began to help care for my dad and took on childcare positions for mothers who needed assistance with childcare. In the year of 2021 my son Adrian's life was taken at the tender age of 20, while searching for peace and closure, God placed on my heart to help and care for teen girls who are troubled. During my time of solitude the Lord showed me a vision of owning my own group home also giving the name of the home which is named "AJust Your Vision" and its mission. AJust is spelled without the letter D, owing to the fact that God wanted me to incorporate my son Adrian's nickname into the name, as a legacy. It's an honor. We called him AJ.

In loving honor of AJ

AJust is spelled without the letter D — because God wanted Adrian's nickname, AJ, carried into the name as a legacy. It's an honor. Every girl who comes through this home will know his name opened the door.

Since then, my greatest accomplishment was taking in foster girls in 2022 and it became a revolving door. Since then, I've taken in 5 other foster teen girls. Today I am a licensed foster care parent which brings me to my vision, “AJust Your Vision”, a group home for teenage girls ages 9 to 18 who are wards of the state, from Vermilion County and surrounding areas.

Surrounded by the Girls She Serves

This picture captures the vision at the heart of AJust Your Vision — a home where every girl is welcomed with faith, surrounded by love, and pointed toward the destiny God has for her.

Seated among the girls she is called to nurture, protect, and guide, Lalita meets them where they are — listening, encouraging, and pointing each one toward the destiny ahead of her.

Our Goals

Three Promises to Every Girl

TO NURTURE

To meet each child where she is, surrounding her with care, encouragement, and the nurturing she needs to heal and to grow into who she was created to be.

TO PROTECT

To provide a safe home — a place of peace and protection where every girl can rest, feel secure, and know she is valued and defended.

TO GUIDE

To prepare each girl for her next steps in life, guiding her with wisdom, life skills, and guidance that points her toward her destiny.

Our theme: Rebuilding Lives through self-empowerment.
